Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel commended the Sardardham Trust, an organization representing the Patidar community, lauding its impactful initiatives, particularly the Global Patidar Business Summits (GPBS), as exemplary collaborations between the government and the community. Speaking at the inauguration of the GPBS 2024 expo, the Chief Minister emphasized the transformative potential when community efforts align with government initiatives, citing the words of the Prime Minister that such unity results in a doubling of the development pace.
The four-day GPBS 2024 expo, organized by the Ahmedabad-based Sardardham Trust, under the leadership of Gagji Sutariya, marks the fourth edition of the summit. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel highlighted the summit's alignment with the government's "vocal for local" and global initiatives, particularly in supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Patel, who is also a trustee of Sardardham, emphasized the crucial role played by GPBS in promoting economic growth.
Gagji Sutariya, addressing the ceremony, expressed gratitude to the government for subsidizing stalls for MSMEs in GPBS 2024, effectively reducing their costs and saving them around Rs 8 crore. Sutariya also acknowledged the government's allocation of land worth over Rs 100 crore to Sardardham for constructing student hostels in various cities across the state. He reported the inauguration of hostel facilities for over 3,500 students, with ongoing construction in Vadodara and plans for future hostels in Vadodara, Surat, and Rajkot. Sutariya concluded by describing the symbiotic relationship between Sardardham and the government, stating that they are "two sides of the same coin.
