7 Tips That Will Help You Maintain Your Bathroom/Shower

Maintaining a bathroom doesn’t have to be hard, all you need to do is follow some helpful tips that will help you maintain your bathroom and keep it in good condition at all times. Here are 7 tips that will help you keep your bathroom in top shape all the time.

1) Deep Clean Once in Two Weeks:

Keeping your bathroom clean is a lot easier than you might think. In fact, you only need to deep clean once every two weeks or so to keep things looking as good as new. First, spray disinfectant around and inside of your toilet bowl, then give it a thorough scrubbing with your toilet brush and flush.

2) Replace Your Shower Curtain Once Every Six Months:

If your shower curtain is full of mildew and mold, it's time to get a new one. The best way to make sure you don't develop mold in your bathroom is to replace your shower curtain once every six months. Mold spreads very easily and can ruin your bathroom if not taken care of quickly. If you use a plastic or vinyl shower curtain, it will only take an hour to completely clean out your shower room and replace everything.

3) Change Your Bath Mat Every Three Months:

A bath mat is used on a daily basis, so they have a tendency to get pretty disgusting after a few months. To ensure your bathroom remains clean and healthy for everyone, change out your bath mat every three months. This way you’ll always have a fresh surface to stand on as you wash up before bedtime.

4) Remove Built Up Grime From Your Tiles:

A clean bathroom floor will help keep you healthy! Bacteria builds up on dirt and grime, which can end up in your food if you’re not careful. Make it a habit to vacuum or sweep your bathroom floor every week, and make sure to pay special attention to your toilet. If your bathtub/shower area is looking a little grimy, scour it with a non-abrasive cleanser before throwing on a fresh coat of paint.

5) Vacuum/Sweep Your Floor Weekly:

This is something that most of us are guilty of not doing on a regular basis. It might be because we’re tired, or don’t have time, but if you want to maintain your bathroom, you have to vacuum it weekly. Vacuuming will get rid of all dust bunnies and grime before they have a chance to build up into really hard-to-clean messes.

6) Disinfect The Area Around Your Sink Regularly:

Germs and bacteria can grow on any surface, so keep your bathroom free of grime by regularly disinfecting around sinks. The best time to do this is after you’ve finished brushing your teeth each day. Rinse your toothbrush under warm water, scrubbing vigorously. Use antibacterial soap to clean both sides of your sink, then spray them with rubbing alcohol or vinegar-water solution to wipe away germs. Finish off by rinsing with hot water and drying with a paper towel.

7) Maintain a Balanced Cleaning Schedule:

The bathroom is one of those places in your home that you would rather keep clean than dirty. But with everything else you have to get done, keeping up with it all may seem like a daunting task. The key to keeping your bathroom cleaner for longer periods of time is staying organized and keeping a regular cleaning schedule, so that it doesn’t get out of hand. Keep one day for scrubbing down tubs and showers, another day for dusting, sanitizing sinks and toilets, etc.
